Asier Garitano has been sacked by Real Sociedad.

The team are fifteenth, with five wins, four draws and eight defeats, and Garitano's style hasn't convinced the board of the club.

"We appreciate Asier Garitano's contribution, professionalism and dedication," a brief statement read, wishing him all the best for the future.

Imanol Alguacil, who already took charge of the team at the end of last season after the dismissal of Eusebio, and who was head of the academy since then, takes over.
