Sacked Arsenal boss Emery felt Everton job offer too soon

Sacked Arsenal boss Unai Emery felt the Everton job arrived at the wrong time for him.

Marca says Emery turned down an opportunity to speak to Everton about their vacant managerial post as he is in no rush to get back into the dugout.

The Spaniard was sacked as Arsenal boss on November 29 after 18 months at the club.

Six days later, Marco Silva lost his job at Everton and despite being approached by the Toffees, Emery has opted to remain patient and 'wait for the right offer'. The report also details that two Chinese clubs have approached Emery about taking over, but the 48-year-old has again opted to turn those advances down.

Emery is keen to take over a side capable of winning trophies straight away.
