Arrigo Sacchi has shrugged off the insults of AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Sweden international infamously told Sacchi to shut up, causing quite a stir in the Italian media.
"Ibra is the greatest soloist in the word," Sacchi said. "If he adapts to a team's tactics he can become the greatest player in absolute.
"I hope that he has more success than I had in my years at Milan's helm. I am surrounded by affection and respect.
"I am sorry for this business [with Ibra]. My criticisms were only technical. It seems strange to me because I am Berlusconi and Galliani's friend and I believe that I did something for Milan as the fans' recognition demonstrates.
"Ibra didn't do any good PR for himself. But I believe he was just tired after the game."
