Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi has revealed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Napoli.

Sacchi says Guardiola contacted him during Napoli's 5-0 win at Cagliari last month.

He remarked: "During Cagliari-Napoli Guardiola sent me a text message, talking about the Azzurri.

"He wrote: 'but how well do they play? Nobody does it this way in Europe'.

"Yet, if you think about it, Napoli does not even have a top-player on paper. I myself had a team with great strength, which is absent among the Neapolitans. They have to play on the synchronisms, on the freshness, on the enthusiasm: as soon as they fall, the limits emerge."
