Former Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi feels Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne deserves to go to the World Cup.
Insigne has struggled for consistency this season.
"My hope is that he will go," Sacchi told Il Mattino. "He is doing well, but could do even better if he can realise his potential.
"I think that right now it is mostly a matter of the feet, with the second step he does not seem as fast as with the first.
"The brilliance is not the same compared to his better days."
