Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi says the youth of the current team is catching up to them.
The Rossonero's top four hopes hang by a thread going into the final game of the season, having been a title contender halfway through the campaign.
After their 0-0 draw with Cagliari, Sacchi remarked: "What happened to the Rossoneri against the Sardinians? Nothing that does not fit into the logic of things. Milan is a team of young people and young people easily pass from enthusiasm to depression.
"I know it well, in Parma I had a team of twenty, we won the Serie C championship, but then, despite playing beautiful football, perhaps the best of that tournament, we were unable to make the leap from B to A because we lacked malice, experience."
