Italian sporting director Walter Sabatini is happy seeing Simone Inzaghi prove himself at Inter Milan.

Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte last summer at Inter and has kept the team competitive this season.

Sabatini said, "Inter are holding up, a whole series of events made us think of something else.

"Simone Inzaghi is very underrated, it was enough to look at Lazio to see that his team has been playing high-level, technical football for years.

“It has a mentality that has led to Inter where they also have the legacy of Conte's work that remains in the engine of the players."
