Walter Sabatini has quit Sampdoria as technical director.
Sabatini says he resigned following a row with president Massimo Ferrero after defeat to Bologna.
“With great regret, I confirm that I have resigned," Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia.
Sabatini and Ferrero almost came to blows, it is alleged, as the president turned on the players in the dressing room.
“There was a disagreement at the end of the game and when an employee has a disagreement like that with his employer, it is only right that he resign.
“Therefore, I leave with great disappointment, because I really care for this team. There will be no reconsideration."
