Ryan Giggs is out of Manchester United's clash with Ajax.

Giggs will have to wait for his 900th Manchester United appearance after Sir Alex Ferguson left the veteran out of his squad to face Ajax.

Giggs hoped to hit his latest landmark in Thursday's Europa League clash in Amsterdam but has been left at home, along with Dimitar Berbatov and Patrice Evra.

United have no game this weekend as they crashed out of the FA Cup to Liverpool so Giggs' next chance will be in the return match against the Dutch giants at Old Trafford next week.
