Russian outfit join chase for Rangers Boyd

CKSA Moscow have joined queue to land Rangers striker Kris Boyd, skysports.com reports. Turkish club Kayerispor are also hopeful of concluding a deal, but it is understood a host of English clubs remain keen on taking him south of the border.

Skysports.com understand that CSKA travelled to Scotland this week to discuss terms.

And Kayerispor, managed by former Gers man Shota Arveladze, remain confident they can land him.

"Right now, our priority signing target is Kris Boyd. When you try to sign big players, it takes a great deal of time to get the right arrangements and then conclude the negotiations," their general manager Suleyman Dates told the Scottish Sun.

"Often you have to work on negotiations for months.

"What I certainly can promise is we will begin the new season with a stronger team on the field than last season."
