Russian doubts over future Chelsea role for Hiddink

National Academy of Football chairman Sergei Kapkov has dismissed reports that Guus Hiddink will maintain a role with Chelsea when he returns to Russia.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sponsors the NAF, but Kapkov insists: "With regard to the recent articles in the British press about an extension of Hiddink's cooperation with Chelsea, the idea has no basis in reality.

"Naturally, because there is a close relationship between the coach and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, they may hold discussions about specific issues relating to the team.

"However, there will be no financial basis to these talks and Hiddink will not hold any official title at the club."
