Peterborough have accepted the resignation of assistant manager Kevin Russell. Russell followed former boss Darren Ferguson to London Road from Wrexham in January 2007 and has now followed Ferguson out of the club 24 hours after his tenure officially came to an end.

A club statement said: "We would like to thank Kevin for his efforts at the football club."

Meanwhile, Tottenham have recalled on-loan midfielder Danny Rose from his loan spell with Posh.
