Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hit out at RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Werner, a target for Liverpool and Chelsea, has publicly rejected interest from Bayern, insisting he sees his future abroad.
“It's just that the challenge in another league would appeal to me a little more than a change within the Bundesliga," he recently argued.
The comments have now been met by an angry rebuke from Rummenigge.
He barked: "I'm actually not surprised at anything anymore, but I've never seen a player make such a statement in response to rumours in public."
