Rummenigge: Bayern Munich do NOT need Chelsea defender Rudiger

Former Bayern Munich chief exec Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has questioned their interest in Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger.

Rudiger, off contract in June, is being linked with the German giants.

But Rummenigge told Tz: “I don't want to get involved in any Bayern Munich transfer market talk.

“They will already know what they are doing. I think Bayern Munich is currently well positioned in central defence."

And even more clearly, he added: “I think Bayern Munich are well positioned even without Rüdiger. Now you have to wait and see what happens in personnel matters - for example (Niklas) Süle, whose contract is about to expire. But I think Bayern Munich needn't worry about the defence."
