Real Salt Lake full-back Tony Beltran is well aware that he has to perform in upcoming matches for the USA.
The 25-year old is a part of Juergen Klinsmann's squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which kicks off in the States this weekend, and is planning to enjoy the time he has with the national team in case it doesn't come around again.
"It's tough sometimes with the national team, especially since I've been involved only this year, knowing where I stand," the right-back told MLSsoccer.com. "But I think that's the entire point, there's no guarantees."
He added: "I think [the call-up is] another incentive. I'm constantly challenged by my club coach Jason Kreis. There's really no other incentive needed, but this is.
"The moment is fleeting. And I'm enjoying it while I can."
