Rotherham United are yet to close a deal for Newcastle United pair James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic.
The Evening Chronicle says yesterday the duo woke up to reports that a £500,000 deal had been struck by Rotherham to win the services of both players.
But sources close to the deal suggested that nothing had been finalised.
