Rotherham boss Paul Warne is delighted with the form of on-loan Newcastle midfielder Dan Barlaser.

Warne admits he's building his midfield around the Toon youngster.

He said: "Sometimes a player just needs a good run in the team to really settle in.

"He's had that run and he looks really good."

Warne, a huge fan of the NFL, even describes Barlaser as his "quarter-back".

He went on: "He makes us tick.

"If you took him out of the team we wouldn't be the same team."
