Former Perth Glory defender Dino Djulbic is joining Gold Coast United. Djulbic arrives at Gold Coast from German Second Division Rot Weiss Ahlen.

"He hasn't signed yet but he is arriving on Monday and we continue from there," said United coach Miron Bleiberg yesterday.

"He will start to train with the boys but we need to finalise the paperwork."

Bleiberg said he would be a handy addition to the squad.

"It is not to shore up the defence because our defence has been doing well recently," he said.

"It is just to bring some depth to the defence in case something happens to one of our defenders in the last stretch to the finals, we will have an experienced back-up."
