Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Cristiano Ronaldo again.

The two have not been getting along in recent months, with Ronaldo taking a swipe at Rooney's appearance and career longevity in a recent interview with Piers Morgan.

Following the Portuguese star's exit from the World Cup, and Lionel Messi reaching the final with Argentina, Rooney could not resist another dig.

"Messi is a joke. For me the best ever," the ex- England captain had written on Twitter in March 2012.

Ten years later, Rooney went onto Twitter and decided to bring back that old tweet.

The DC Untied boss quoted his old tweet and added: “Nothing has changed," alongside emojis of a goat and a man shrugging his shoulders.
