Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is confused by Cristiano Ronaldo's stinging comments towards him.

The Portuguese attacker, who is unhappy at United at present, aired his views to Piers Morgan in an interview.

During the interview, Ronaldo stated that he was not sure why Rooney was critical of him, and that it may have to do with Ronaldo's longevity and supposedly superior looks.

According to Sky Sports, Rooney is “bemused" that Ronaldo would behave in such a manner.

He has no animosity towards the Portugal attacker, his ex-United teammate, and has only ever praised Ronaldo in interviews.

But he did clarify in interviews recently that he felt Ronaldo's behavior at United this season had not been exemplary.
