Real Madrid president Florentino Perez faces a sponsorship headache with £80 million man Cristiano Ronaldo. Sport says Ronaldo's commitment to American sportswear giants Nike is set to cause major anxiety in the front office of adidas sponsored Real Madrid.

Ronaldo appeared for his medical last week at Real sporting a big Nike swoosh on his t-shirt, much to the frustration of Real directors. Nike see Ronaldo as their star man and their aggressive push is unlikely to be reigned in after his move to Madrid.

Real's other Galacticos, Kaka and Karim Benzema, are both adidas sponsored.
