Ronaldo to smash Raul's Real Madrid scoring record with 400 games to spare

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is in line to smash Raul's goalscoring record.

Ronaldo could be just one year away from becoming Real Madrid's all-time top scorer.

If the Portugal forward keeps scoring at his current rate he will topple the club's legendary captain Raul - and will do it in almost 400 fewer games.

Raul scored 323 goals in 741 games for Real Madrid; Ronaldo is currently on 222 in 214.

Ronaldo has had the best ever start to a season with 20 goals in 15 games and has been helped by wingman Gareth Bale who has managed four assists in three starts - more than any other player at the club.

REAL'S TOP FIVE GOALSCORERS

Raul, 1994-2010: 323 goals in 741 games

Alfredo Di Stefano, 1953-1964: 305 in 392

Carlos Santillana, 1971-1988: 289 in 645

Ferenc Puskas, 1958-1966: 242 in 262

Cristiano Ronaldo, 2009-: 222 in 214
