Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was examined by Dutch surgeon Dr Van Dijk yesterday.

Ronaldo was given the all-clear after the initial tests and will have his ankle injury checked over again by Van Dijk and assistants today.

Van Dijk is expected to deliver his report to Real on Thursday and if all is okay, Ronaldo will be free to join full-scale training on Friday with a view to seeing some action against Racing Santander this weekend.
