Cristiano Ronaldo has signed an endorsement deal with Chinese automotive manufacturer Wey, reports SportBusiness.
Ronaldo who plays for Real Madrid, will serve as an ambassador for Wey's premium SUV models.
As part of the deal, Wey will support Ronaldo during this summer's Fifa World Cup in Russia, where Portugal has been drawn alongside Spain, Morocco and Iran in Group B. Wey will release Ronaldo's first commercial for the company during the tournament, which runs from June 14 to July 15.
Ronaldo wears number seven for Real Madrid and the launch of the partnership saw the 33-year-old pose next to Wey's new VV7 model.
Wey chief executive Jens Steingräber said: "As the Chinese leader of premium SUVs, we have always focused on innovation through research and development, offering safe and quality products to be the first in the market. This partnership with Ronaldo will strengthen the influence and Wey's international appeal, bringing greater exposure to the brand."
