After a 2-0 opening day victory over Palermo, Roma captain Francesco Totti was eager to reign in the enthusiasm of fans last night.

"The Scudetto is a dangerous word," insisted the midfield ace. "Our aim must remain being part of the top four in Italy with Inter, AC Milan and Juventus.

"We must stay with them for the rest of the season and then, in the final weeks, we will lay our trap."
