AS Roma winger Justin Kluivert stands by his decision to leave Ajax last summer.
Kluivert bagged two assists against Fiorentina on Wednesday.
“My father [Patrick] still gives me advice, of course, and it's all geared towards my growth as a professional," the 19-year-old told Tuttosport.
“As a player he reached a level that I'm still far away from. I process every suggestion with my head and then forge a personal opinion.
“I realised I could have a career in football when I had my first training with Ajax. That also meant being able to keep my feet on the ground.
“But when I started working with the players in the first team, I knew that I'd got on par with them.
“It was my dream to train and play at the top. We must always have a dream to follow.
“Italian football is more tactical than the Dutch one, with particular attention to all phases of the game.
“As a result, training is also slightly different. Overall I can say that in Italy it's tougher, but it's also one of the reasons why I came here."
