Roma are chasing River Plate defender Gonzalo Montiel.

That's according to Montiel's agent, agent Marcelo Carracedo.

“He is ready to take the big step to Europe," Carracedo said.

“Many clubs want Gonzalo, including Valencia and Roma.

“At this moment, negotiations are on stand-by due to the coronavirus pandemic and the teams will be overly cautious on the costs. We will see what happens in the coming weeks."
