Roma have gone cold on Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.
The Mirror says Roma have reportedly identified Arsenal's out-of-favour centre-back Shkodran Mustafi as their new No.1 defensive target after failing to agree a deal with Liverpool for Lovren.
The Italians had been keen to bring Lovren to Italy this summer after the Croatian fell down the pecking order at Anfield.
However, they were swaying towards a loan deal for the 30-year-old, but Liverpool wanted his exit to be permanent and were demanding a £26million fee.
Forza Roma claims that the Gunners are willing to do business with their Italian counterparts, having attempted to offload Mustafi all summer.
