Roma are stepping up their pursuit of Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara.
Napoli are also interested in the youngster, but Roma chief Walter Sabatini believes he holds a trump card.
Sabatini has assured Bologna they can take young striker Umar Sadiq on-loan next season, so opening the door to a potential swap involving Diawara.
The young midfielder could arrive at Roma as a replacement for Radja Nainggolan.
Chelsea remain in talks with Roma for the Belgium international.
