Tottenham Hotspur have passed on the opportunity to sign Roma striker Eden Dzeko this summer.
Spurs will likely be in the market for a new striker to play second fiddle to Harry Kane, with Fernando Llorente to depart the club this summer. However, they have clearly indicated that Dzeko isn't that man, says the Daily Star.
Dzeko, 33, has spent three years with the Serie A outfit since leaving Manchester City.
And he has scored at an impressive rate in Italy, bagging a total of 87 goals in 179 games.
Now, though, with just a year remaining on his contract at the Stadio Olimpico, Dzeko looks likely to leave Roma this summer.
The north London club were offered Dzeko by his representatives, but they do not believe he would represent a good-value signing, despite obtaining a prolific record in England, Italy and Germany's top flight.
