AS Roma sports director Monchi has a special buyout clause in his contract, it has been revealed.

Monchi has been linked with Manchester United this season, but it will be easier for two Spanish clubs to prise him from Roma should they show interest.

Corriere dello Sport says Monchi's deal has an escape clause specifically if Real Madrid or Barcelona come knocking.

The Spaniard is only in his second season at Roma after arriving from Sevilla, but is coming under enormous pressure.

Roma again lost on Sunday - 2-0 to Pippo Inzaghi's Bologna.
