Roma say they're still checking the credentials of Vinicio Fioranelli's consortium ahead of entering full-blown takeover talks. Italpetroli, the company with a majority stake in Roma run by the Sensi family, is in financial difficulty and needs to sell the club.
"Verifications on the part of Italpetroli and its financial adviser Mediobanca are still in course to ascertain the nature of the interest represented by Mr Fioranelli in buying a majority stake in Roma," a statement read.
