Roma not interested in selling Manolas to Arsenal

Roma have dealt Arsenal a blow in his transfer window chase of defender Kostas Manolas, according to reports in the Sunday People.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have contacted the Italian giants with an offer of £5.5million for the Greece international, but Roma are refusing to entertain the idea of selling the 24-year-old.

Roma have lost centre-backs Mehdi Benatia and Marquinhos to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain respectively in the previous two transfer windows and are hoping to build their backline around Manolas, eyeing him as a potential captain once Francesco Totti retires.
