Roma midfielder Gini Wijnaldum admits mixed emotions facing former team Feyenoord in the Europa League.
The on-loan PSG midfielder is now fully fit and is eager to make up for lost time.
He told NOS: "I wasn't happy with the draw. Or rather, there was a feeling of yes and no. Feyenoord is a club that I normally support, now we have to knock them out of the cup: it's difficult for me.
"On the other hand, it's a pleasant match to play. I've already played against Feyenoord at the Kuip in a PSV shirt. At the time, its fans weren't very happy that I left.
"But now that feeling is gone, I think. In the Europa League, there were very difficult opponents and Feyenoord was one of them. I watched the Klassieker on Sunday because we had to play the derby."
Wijnaldum added, "I felt that Roma really wanted me and that Jose Mourinho wanted me to play a lot. And even in the group they were happy with me. I had the same feeling when I came back from my injury."
