Roma have made an opening bid for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

Sport says the Giallorossi have had a €15m offer rejected by Barcelona.

The 26-year-old was offered in a potential player-plus-cash swap deal for Lorenzo Pellegrini, but the Giallorossi rejected the offer coming from the Nou Camp, using the opportunity to open talks to sign the France international.

Lenglet is up for sale at Barca as they seek to ease debt problems. The Catalans want €25m to sell the centre-half.

West Ham and Everton are also interested in the Frenchman this summer.
