AS Roma legend Francesco Totti admits he's unlikely to ever forgive Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti.
Totti believes Spalletti hastened his retirement last season when he was in charge of Roma.
He told Sky Italia: “There has never been a clarification with Spalletti and there never will be. I'd have preferred to close my career in a different way.
“If I were him, I'd have dealt with the player, and above all the person, in a different way. I'd have talked to him and confronted our ideas.
“In any case, I've been able to make this step from player to Roma director and I did it with the right spirit: that of harmony, intelligence and maturity. I grew up on that pitch and I'll die on it too.
“I don't think there is another Totti who could stay this long at Roma. Football is more of a business now and it's tough for young players to remain in one club for a lifetime, like me or Daniele De Rossi. It's impossible to see that again.
“Besides, before there was more of a focus on the promising Italian youngsters rather than discovering the next Brazilian, Argentinean or South American talent."
