Roma insist no takeover bid from the Frick family has been received.
The Frick family are behind German car giants Mercedes and they have been linked with a bid for Roma as parent company ItalPetroli have debts of nearly £400 million.
"ItalPetroli can confirm that they know nothing of any concrete interest from the Frick family," a statement on Roma's website reads.
"The contact that has taken place is provisional and to evaluate all eventual options.
"Whatever happens ItalPetroli will always consider the interests of the football club and their partners and a divorce between Roma and the Sensi family is not imaginable."
