Roma great Roberto Pruzzo has urged Jose Mourinho not to hang his young players out to dry after last night's Europa Conference League humiliation.
Roma were thrashed 6-1 by Bodo/Glimt in Norway.
Pruzzo told TMW: "It was a debacle, I must say unexpected for the final score that could have negative repercussions for the rest of the season but I am confident in the skill of the coach to recompose the situation.
"Now it will be necessary to make everyone feel important, despite Mourinho having said how he thinks about certain players. We need to turn the page and have the strength to look to the next match which is not exactly easy (with Napoli).
"He will be disappointed and also worried because it is not the first time that Mou has expressed himself. He had asked for a midfielder at the beginning of the season: the club must have a clear relationship and seek solutions. The priority is to give morale to these young players who they took a beating and I believe they are still capable of reversing the trend."
