Roma director Sebino Nela has revealed they rejected the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland at a cut-price €4m.
The talks were held as Haaland was considering his options at Molde - he would eventually move to RB Salzburg.
“Roma were offered the chance to sign Erling Haaland two years ago for €4m," revealed Roma Women's director Nela to Radio Centro Suono Sport.
“He was proposed to Monchi by a former Roma player, but the club turned him down, so he went to Salzburg instead."
Haaland joined BVB last month for an initial fee of €20m.
