AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas has dismissed the club missing out on the signing of Malcom.

The former Bordeaux winger joined Barcelona last week in a controversial move.

Manolas remarked that even the player himself didn't know his name until he put pen to paper on his Barcelona contract.

"I don't know who he is, I don't know him," the Greek defender told reporters in Dallas before Tuesday's game.

"Before he signed for Barcelona, even he didn't know his name.

"There is no reason to say hello. He didn't want to go to Roma, it is better that he goes to Barcelona."
