Roma coach Luciano Spalletti insists Cicinho is part of his first team plans.

"It doesn't concern me if he has asked to leave the club because he will stay here," said Spalletti. "Cicinho has only played so few games so far because the other players in his position have been doing well.

"There is always the possibility that a player could remain out of the frame for a while, but I am convinced that Roma have made a fine signing."
