Roma coach Luciano Spalletti started Edin Dzeko from the bench for their 1-1 draw against Bologna.

Spalletti explained it was an injury concern.

“He had a muscular problem and did us a favour by coming off the bench, because otherwise he was going to start this evening.

“The reason we held off the last substitution until the final minute was because Dzeko could've had a problem from one moment to the next."
