AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has shrugged off delays over his new contract signing.

Ranieri was expected to put pen to paper before the start of the season.

"There is no urgency for me to renew," explained Ranieri. "I never thought about the national bench because Rome is my city, there is a plan here and I am proud that the Sensi family has called me. Therefore, I want to continue this project with Roma."
