AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has made the signing of West Ham United wing-back Valon Behrami a priority.
Behrami had his bags packed for Rome on transfer deadline day, only for the deal to collapse in the final hours of the summer market.
Ranieri has told Roma chiefs Fabio Simplicio does not fit into his 4-4-2 system and he would prefer Behrami on the right-side of midfield.
Selling the Brazilian, who only arrived in the summer from Palermo, in January hasn't been ruled out as Roma seek to fund a bid for Behrami.
