Roma coach Jose Mourinho was frustrated with the boos for Nicola Zaniolo during their Coppa Italia win against Genoa.
The Giallorosso won 1-0 on the evening in a frustrating affair.
Mourinho said, “I'm no longer a child, I'm going to be 60 soon but I know that when you give your all you don't have to give more.
“When a player gives everything, he always has my affection. I was sorry to hear some booing for Zaniolo, I ask people not to boo my players."
Skipper Lorenzo Pellegrini was forced off at half time.
Mourinho continued: “Tomorrow we'll see, but there are some problems. I wanted to do everything not to go into extra time.
“Tonight, there was teamwork and collective control of the match, the three defenders gave us great security. Dybala, however, is something else, he has a different scent."
