Roma coach Mourinho talks PSG and Xabi's 'pragmatism'

Roma coach Jose Mourinho insists he's not had any contact with PSG.

It's emerged Mourinho is being considered as a replacement for Christophe Galtier at PSG.

But he said today: "If they look for me, they haven't found me because they haven't spoken to me."

Facing Europa League semifinal opponents Bayer Leverkusen will mean a reunion with his former Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso, now Bayer coach.

Mourinho said, “I've always had a fantastic relationship as coach and player, I'll be delighted to be with him before and after the game. If I'm not mistaken, Xabi has been coached by Benítez, Ancelotti, Guardiola, myself and others.

What I'm saying is that his Bayer Leverkusen is the team I've seen this year in Europe play the best counterattack. If Xabi likes a different game then that's something else. But at least he shows a quality that is important to me, which is the pragmatism of playing in a way that is more appropriate to the qualities of his players. "

"He has 5-6 players who could reach 100 metres against Jacobs. His Bayer defends and counterattacks."
