Roma coach Jose Mourinho says Sunday's defeat at Hellas Verona is proof there's still a lot of work to do.
The match marked Roma's first defeat under Mourinho.
He said at today's presser: "If I didn't have to work so hard, the Friedkins wouldn't have given me a 3-year contract, 3 months would have been enough. In a few months you can develop a team that is already a team, otherwise you won't be there.
"If the chances against Sassuolo are a consequence of our ambitions, it's not a problem for me. When I changed Pellegrini with Cristante I knew what could have happened. The 3 goals conceded for Hellas are too many: when you go away and score 2 goals you have to win, not even draw."
On their looming clash with Udinese, Mourinho added: "Their game organisation is good, on Monday they lost badly but they played against a great team like Napoli. They have stability and physique, but at the same time there are players of quality and creativity."
