Roma coach Jose Mourinho has hailed Brendan Rodgers for his work at Leicester City and insists the Northern Irishman's success is not a surprise.
Rodgers will come up against his former mentor at Chelsea in the Europa Conference League semi-final second leg in Rome on Thursday.
The tie is evenly poised at 1-1 and Mourinho hopes his side can reach the final.
"Brendan's [success] doesn't surprise me," said Mourinho. "With Liverpool people forget what he did with much less resources than they have now. He did an amazing job and, the Scottish history, people forget because people don't focus on the SPL.
"They [Rodgers and Leicester] are the perfect fit but I hope tomorrow is for us, not them.
"What Leicester are doing is fantastic. What they did winning by the Premier League, but also after that the way the club has grown at every level... the club is amazing, congratulations to all of them."
