Roma coach Paulo Fonseca has urged fans not to expect too much from Borja Mayoral.
The Spaniard will lead the line against Genoa today due to the absence of Edin Dzeko over a frustrating positive coronavirus test.
Fonseca said, “Dzeko and Borja Mayoral have different characteristics, and we all know how important Edin is for this team, but as far as I am concerned the general approach of the team will not change.
“We must realise that Serie A is a different league to most others. Pedro Rodriguez can adapt quickly, as he has so much experience, but it's not the same situation for a young player like Mayoral, Carles Perez or Gonzalo Villar. We must give them time to grow."
