Roma coach Fonseca discusses job future after victory over Helllas Verona

Roma coach Paulo Fonseca discussed his position after victory over Helllas Verona.

Fonseca admits he's prepared to leave amid talk of dismissal last week.

“I have to maintain great balance. A coach said that all coaches must have their suitcase ready: this is our life," Fonseca told Sky Sport Italia.

“We scored against the best defence in the League and it wasn't easy. They are aggressive and very strong.

“I think the team understood that we should have changed our intentions. The first half was perfect, we managed to score three goals against a very strong team."

He added: “What matters most, is that the team reacted well after the defeat against Spezia. We are believing and working, all together. This is important.

“What matters most is what the team did tonight. We will have the opportunity to talk, but now the most important thing is to evaluate the performance of these players."
